Creating Digital Makerspaces

Technology is such an integral part of education today. In order to support our students and provide them with the tools to be successful in areas that they like, I have created a Virtual Makerspace. I am always on the hunt for new websites that my students would enjoy using or would benefit from using. I take these websites and add them to our Gifted Virtual Makerspace.  During this PD, I will show you how to create a Virtual Makerspace so that your students have access to the wonderful resources that are on the web today.

Ansley Cash is currently the Gifted teacher at Albertville Intermediate School in Albertville, Alabama. A native of Haralson, Georgia, she moved to Alabama to be a part of the Marching Southerners Colorguard at Jacksonville State University. Ansley obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (2010) and a Master’s Degree in Instructional Leadership (2017) at Jacksonville State University. In 2021, Ansley received a Master’s Degree in Gifted Education from Troy University. Before transitioning to Gifted Education, Ansley taught 6th grade Reading and Social Studies. Ansley was awarded the distinction as a 2020 Javits-Frazier Scholar. Mrs. Cash is the current Colorguard Director for the Albertville High School “Aggie” Band and has been on the Leadership Team for Albertville Intermediate School since 2013. In her free time, she enjoys baking and traveling. She is married to Taylor Cash, and they are proudly raising a four-year-old son, Fischer.
