Building Resilience, Problem-Solving & Flexibility — One Game at a Time

Anna Wieland and Emily Hollett

Board games aren't just for rainy days — they're one of the easiest ways to help your gifted child build real-life skills right at your kitchen table. Losing a round, working through a tricky rule, or waiting your turn all give kids gentle, low-stakes practice at bouncing back, thinking on their feet, and rolling with change. Join us for a fun, hands-on look at how a regular family game night can quietly grow your child's resilience, problem-solving, and flexibility — no lectures, no extra homework, just games you already love to play.

Anna Wieland, M.Ed., is a passionate gifted education expert and author with over 20 years experience helping students reach their highest potential. She has designed curriculum, published articles, and shared her expertise on both state and national stages.

Emily Hollett, M.Ed., brings energy and practical strategies to state and national audiences. With over a decade dedicated to serving gifted learners in the classroom, she has designed award-winning curriculum and is a trusted mentor to new and emerging gifted teachers.
