The Virtual World of Marine Ecology


This session presents a virtual world of The Marine Ecosystem in eight units. Those include: The Gulf of Mexico, Sand Dunes, Maritime Forest, Salt Marshes, Estuaries, Lagoons, Intertidal Zones and Watersheds. Units are 30 minutes each and include teacher and student worksheets/questions. Skype, etc. will be available to summarize units. This webinar would also be appropriate for your student's parents to watch as well as their gifted students!  So be sure to let them know!

Dr. Simpson majored in biological science/medical technology and has a BS and MS from Jacksonville State University, a Doctorate

from the University of Alabama.  He's a veteran of the U S Navy Medical Corp.  He held positions as the Director/professor at the University of Alabama Gadsden Center, Dean of Math, Science, Engineering and Aquaculture at Gadsden Community College, Dean of Instruction at Snead State Community College, Founder of the Gadsden State Aquaculture Center and the Marine Science Adventures.  He volunteers locally and the Bon Secour Refugee, Gulf State Park, and serve as an adjunct professor.  Learn more at
